Role reversal! We ship to Canada instead of them shipping to the US.

Why would we build the Keystone pipeline if we are sending oil to Canada?

What crap, Canada does not need any and the Bakken fields are mostly under Canadian soil anyway and Canada is drawing from those fields every day.

We need to keep the oil here in the USA rather than import it to other countries so we can keep prices down.

"A surge in output from shale oil reserves in the Bakken of North Dakota and Eagle Ford of Texas has raised U.S. domestic production to the highest level since 1995."
Yet the prices at the pumps doesn't come down.
Remind me: just what WAS the price of gas in 1995???

First we need a pipeline to bring oil from Canada to US
Now we are wanting to send oil to Canada?

Great. So we pay more to have oil imported. They should not be allowed to export as long as we have to import oil.

"...has raised U.S. domestic production to the highest level since 1995."
So President Obama is doing everything he can to keep our oil industry from producing domestic oil...

hauler43 Oakland "US crude to Canada, and Canadian crude to Texas, makes sense too me"
The oil companies are all about keeping prices as high as possible... everywhere. Canadian oil that's about to be piped to Texas will be shipped to Asian markets, NOT for sale within the U.S. Yet, Canadians, who already pay a LOT more than their U.S. neighbours, will be paying a premium for crude oil fracked-out from N.D.?
It's time our countries had energy policies that took control of it's own resources instead of allowing private corporations to hold us hostage to our own resources and ruining our economies for THEIR record profits.

Why the hell are we exporting US oil to Canada, yet need to build a pipeline to bring Canadian oil to Texas?
