GasBuddy Blog -- The Energy Information Administration released its weekly report on the condition of petroleum inventories in the United States today.

Here are some highlights:

CRUDE INVENTORIES:
Crude oil inventories increased by 5.9 million barrels to a total of 375.1 million barrels. At 375.1 million barrels, inventories are 37.5 million barrels above last year (11.1%) and are above the upper limit of the average range.

GASOLINE INVENTORIES:
Gasoline inventories increased by 1.4 million barrels to 198.6 million barrels. At 198.6 million barrels, inventories are down 6.4 million barrels, or 3.1% lower than last year. Here's how individual regions and their gasoline inventory fared last week: East Coast (+1.3mb);...

Like a lot of bloggers have said, it doesn't matter if inventory is high. We are all prisoners of gasoline. Prices will remain high -- remember Greed.

I wonder how accurate those inventory lists are. Gas in OKC is $2.96 this morning.on I-40, That's what I want to see.

Glad I filled my heating oil tanks early in the Summer. It's now 60 cents/gal higher (locally) and distillate inventories are running low so no break in price any time soon.
