The return of warmer weather and big incentives were luring car buyers back into auto dealerships during the first half of March and has put the automotive industry’s recovery back on track, according to two automotive forecasting firms.
For the first half of March, the seasonally adjusted annual sales rate, or SAAR, reached 12.1 million in the U.S., according to J.D. Power and Associates.
In fact, the last time the industry’s annual sales rate topped 12 million without a federal incentive program was in September 2008
